HAMILTON: David

David died at his home, with his family by his side, on Saturday July 29, 2017.  David Hamilton of Lakefield in his 76th year.  Dave began trucking at 15 years of age with his father and continued Hamilton Haulage for the next 58 years.  He grew up at Birchcliff Cottages and operated the business for many years.  Loved and missed by his wife of 41 years, Phyllis (nee Coughlin).  Also missed by his children Bob Buckwald of Lakefield, Joanne Reid (Ron) of Lakefield, Michael Dunford of Buckhorn and Karen Watson of Keene.  Loving Poppa of Lisa (Jeff), Clayton (Laura), Joshua (Shannon), Jessica (Catlin), Allen, Faith, Emett and great grandfather of Connor and Parker.  Loved like a brother by Harley Payne and remembered by several nieces, nephews and dear cousins.  Predeceased by his parents Bill & Marguerite, grandson Jason (2008) and daughter-in-law Lori Dunford (2016).  Friends and relatives may call at THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, LAKEFIELD CHAPEL, 66 Queen Street, Lakefield on Tuesday August 1, 2017 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM.  A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday August 2, 2017 at 11:00 AM.  Interment Lakefield Cemetery.  A reception will follow at the funeral home.  Memorial donations may be made to Lakefield Youth Unlimited as expressions of sympathy and may be made by contacting the funeral home at www.hendrenfuneralhome.com or by calling 705-652-3355.
