How shocking and sad to lose John. Such a great guy, and so long before his time, I think. Among those of us who grew up together on Waverley, he stood out as an example of how to behave: he could let loose and yuk it up as well as anyone, but if things began to lean toward the crazy -- which, with young boys, they so often do -- one look at John's face would set you straight. He never lost sight of his humanity, a lesson hard-learned and long in coming for so many of us, yet so innate in John. He got me my job down at the old Nickelodeon when we were teenagers, and it was in those days we were most connected. I regret not keeping John in my life. We learn the long way around that you just don't encounter that many humans of such high calibre: tonight I will tell my sons, who never had the good fortune to know him, all about the late John Charlebois, and we'll toast him. Heartfelt condolences to John's children, to Roger and Peter, and to Ron Sr. So long, John.

With sadness I wish to send our condolences to Johnnys family, and closest friends that he loved as family. I will remember his smiles and laughter..that he seemed to have in abundance. Ken remembers the same joy Johnny had when they were kids too. He lived with Love & laughter...and will be remembered for the same.
