Obituary of Thelma Hutchinson

Hutchinson, Thelma (formerly Mrs. Morris Stansfield) It is with deep sadness that I announce the peaceful passing of Thelma Hutchinson in her 87th year.  She put up a gallant fight, but lost due to complications from hip surgery.  Thelma was the wife of the late Morris Stansfield and they had been long time cottagers and permanent residents of Bobcaygeon since retiring in the early eighties.  Thelma married the late David Hutchinson of Toronto and they too resided in Bobcaygeon.  Thelma was a devoted mother to Susan Styles (Doug) and grandmother to Kimberly (Chad) Blewett and the late Douglas Jr. and two cherished great granddaughters.  She was also stepmother to David’s two children JoAnn Gibson and Philip Hutchinson.  Thelma is predeceased by brother, Harold Tomlinson (Helen), and sister Ivy Bentley (Art).  Sister Joan Wilson (Ross) resides in Airdrie, Alberta.  She will also be missed by caregiver Lucy Gray of Bobcaygeon.  A Memorial Service will be held at Pinecrest Nursing Home in Bobcaygeon on October 26th at 2pm.  In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Bobcaygeon Community Care or Pinecrest Nursing Home.  Messages of condolence, memories, photos and donations may be placed at www.monkfuneralhome.com.  An expression of thanks to every health care worker at Pinecrest Nursing Home, affording Thelma the most compassionate care she so deserved.
