I know this may sound strange...but I came upon your mom's obituary quite by accident. I was mesmerized while reading about this unique, courageous person who really LIVED....as few people do! Her life story was so well-written...and I could feel every laugh, and ache, and tear. She obviously raised a very special daughter who could write something so profound and raw and amazing...so that a stranger feels like she knew her. My condolences to your family but...as you say...there's an extra-radiant star in the night sky that lights the way...Hugs to you from a stranger!
What a wonderful tribute written about an extraordinary woman. Many years ago we purchased a wheelbarrow from Helen at Victoria Place. It was not until the transaction was virtually completed that we realized Helen was visually impaired. She walked around her home and yard with as much grace and ease as any sighted person. Always quick with laughter Helen and Winston were a joy to be around. My sincere condolences. It seems you are carrying on quite a legacy.
