WHITNEY, Edwin Keith 'Ted' After a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer’s we announce the passing of Ted at Peterborough Extendicare Saturday March 12, 2016. Son of the late Jack and Nellie Whitney. Beloved husband of Lynda of Norwood. Proud Father of Joe (Kristine) of British Columbia. Loving grandpa to Natasha, Breanna and Brayden. Dear brother of Carol Riel (Bert). Predeceased by brothers Jack and Bob. Lovingly remembered by mother-in-law Doreen Clarke (the late Don Clarke) of Norwood, brother-in-law of Anne Whitney, Kathryn Whitney, Brian Clarke (Marg), Ann Irwin (Garry), Peter Clarke, and Kelly Martyn (Todd). Also remembered by Norma and Wayne. Heartfelt thanks to staff at Peterborough Extendicare. The care and compassion shown to Ted over the last 4 ½ years was tremendously appreciated and touching which helped him with this long goodbye journey.
