Obituary of William Haire

Passed away peacefully at the age of 70 on Friday, September 9, 2011 at Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay after a lengthy battle with cancer.  Bill was a retiree from Ontario Power (Nuclear Generation Division) and resided in Bobcaygeon.  Cherished, loved and devoted husband of Karen.  Loving father of son Ken Haire (Heather), daughter, Linda Gray (John) and stepson Greg Kerr (Allison).  Survived by his sister Marjorie Soules and brothers Vic, Harry and Tom Haire.  He will be sadly missed by his family, friends and grandchildren, Hanna, Emmerson, Maddy, Myla, Mitchell and Hayden.  Bill was a warm, generous and fun-loving individual with a wonderful sense of humour.  He was thoughtful and always willing to devote his time and talents to help others.  He got great pleasure in planning surprises and loved to travel.  Bill was seldom seen without his “shadow”, a little miniature schnauzer named Sally, whom he adored.  She will miss him terribly.
