Obituary of Patricia Leyerzapf

Patricia (Borisuk) Leyerzapf, 69, died peacefully on August 23rd, 2011 after suffering a major stroke while vacationing in the Rocky Mountains of British Columbia.  She was born in Niagara Falls, Ontario, daughter to the late Kenneth and Stephanie (Andrichuk) Borisuk. Sister to Kim, Peter, and Eric.  Patricia was an excellent teacher by trade but an exceptional mother & wife by nature.  She led a rich, full and active life - always maintaining balance with traveling, gardening, golfing, and skiing in the many locations she lived with her family across Canada as well as internationally abroad in Europe and the United States. She is survived by her beloved daughter Kathryn of Edmonton; her son Christopher and his wife Tanya of Budapest, Hungary.  She also leaves her only grandchild, the apple of her eye, Carsten (Chris and Tanya). A Memorial Service will be held for friends and family at MONK FUNERAL HOME - 6 HELEN SREET, BOBCAYGEON, ONTARIO (705-738-3222 or 866-393-0063) at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 30th with visitation from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.  As an expression of sympathy, please consider making a donation to either the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada –or– to the Community Care Access Center / Central East Region.
