Obituary of Leonard "Len" Metcalfe

METCALFE, Leonard M. “Len” Passed away at Extendicare, Peterborough on Monday September 21, 2015. Leonard Metcalfe of Norwood in his 93rd year. Beloved husband for 66 years to Joyce Metcalfe (nee Thomas). Cherished father of Janice Millett (George) of Norwood, Ted Metcalfe (Kerena) of Australia, Mary Jane Stevenson (Jim) of Hastings, Edith Steele (John) of Norwood and Laura Metcalfe (Bob Fleming) of New Hamburg. Grandpa will always be loved and remembered by George and Bob (Christine) Millett and Heather Chaney, Sarah and Jack Metcalfe, Gordon (Sarah) and Roy (Nancy) Stevenson and Chelsea and Ian Steele and by his great grandchildren Dillon, Noah, Ethan, Kaitlyn, Andrew, Alexa, Emily, and Ian. Also survived by his sister-in-law Rita Metcalfe. Predeceased by his siblings Flora, Marie, Winnifred, Frances, William, Carmen, and Gerald. A funeral service will be held at THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, NORWOOD CHAPEL on Saturday September 26, 2015 at 2:00 PM with visitation to commence at 12:00 PM. Interment Asphodel-Norwood Cemetery.
