Obituary of Robert "Bob" Torrance

Torrance, Robert (Bob) William On Easter Sunday, April 5, 2015, Bob passed peacefully in his 98th year at Peterborough Health Centre, six months following the death of his wife Muriel (nee Gray) after almost 72 years of marriage. Formerly of Claremont and Lakefield, Bob was the loving father of John (Margaret), Jim (Susan), Ken (Doreen) and Allen (Fay). Grandpa will be remembered with love by his many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and many friends. Brother of Muriel McIntosh, Bob was pre-deceased by his parents Frank and Eva and brother Harold. Relatives and friends are invited to call at THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, LAKEFIELD CHAPEL on Friday, April 10 from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the Hendren Chapel on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 11:00 a.m., with visitation to commence at 10:00 a.m. A reception will follow in the fellowship hall of Lakefield Baptist Church. Interment will be at Hillside Cemetery in May. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Lakefield Baptist Church or Fairhaven Municipal Long-Term Care Home, Peterborough, where Bob and Muriel received excellent care.
