Over the last few years Ben and I became good friends. I'd see him at least once a week this past year as he'd come to the pub I play at. I always respected his honesty and his giving nature. No matter how he was feeling he always made me feel important and like I mattered, sometimes when I needed it most. The happiest I'd seen him unfortunately was the last time we saw each other. He was excited about a career opportunity. He had worked so hard and loved what he was studying and even offered to assist me in creating my future home. I was excited for him and so happy. I can't express how it feels to not have him in my life any more and cannot imagine the heartache his family and friends are feeling. I never had the honour of meeting any of you but please know my life is better for having known Ben and I will miss him dearly. I still look for him at the pub every night and I probably will for some time.
Thank you for Ben and thank you Ben.
