My condolences to Bill's family and relatives. I first met Bill in 1968 after
he came from the Toronto Fire Department to become Chief of the Chinguacousy Township Fire Department. A Department with white fire vehicles. I was a Volunteer Captain and appreciated Bill's training, and direction at the many fires he attended. As Chief, Bill put a military snap into the department which was partial full-time firefighters, the remainder volunteers. He presided over six stations with all types of fires. He established with District Chief Ron Weir a renown, winning fire prevention program for the Township. I enjoyed his checking of the white vehicles with his white gloves to ensure their cleanliness. Also, enjoyed the receipt of his new Chief's uniform, only to have Sparky, the Dalmatian, chew the new hat to pieces. I had cottages on Lake Buckhorn and later Lake Chemong and would occasionally boat over to see Bill. Bill was one of the Good Chiefs. R.I.P. Bill.

Dan, Stephen and Family's,
The friends and Comrades of Br. # 239 of the Royal Canadian Legion - here in Bobcaygeon, send their heart-felt condolences at this sad time. We have lost another yet another Veteran and a great man. When I was the Veteran's Service Officer - I had many a great chat with your Dad. He was a most interesting and delightful gentleman. His smiling face and interesting conversation will be missed around the Branch - especially on hamburg night.

President, Br. 239 Bobcaygeon.

Dan, Steve and family. Very sorry to hear that Bill is gone. A memorable man who very much lived life on his terms. At this time I remember your mother May fondly too.

So sorry to hear of Bill's passing. Bill, Glen and I spent many hours together golfing at Deer Run and then rehashing our plays at the "19th hole".
Joan and I send our sincere condolences to Dan, Stephen and their families.

My husband Glen and Bill were best buddies and golfed together weekly for many years and met afterwards at the 19th Hole, The Legion, to celebrate. Very sorry to hear of his passing. Sadly, Glen passed away the same week that May did.
We lived across the street from them on Front St. W. in Bobcaygeon for years and enjoyed socialising together.
Many good memories are in my heart.
Sincerely Sandra Small
