McCULLUM: Lulu “Dudy” Gertrude
December 29, 1920 – January 12, 2015
Passed away peacefully at her residence in Frost Manor, Lindsay. Dudy was born in Bobcaygeon, where she resided until her move into Lindsay. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed cooking, baking and canning in the fall. Taking senior day trips and bus tours were always a pleasure for her. She also enjoyed playing cards, bingo and quilting.
Dudy will be deeply missed by her sons Bob (Deb Houston) and Don (Eunice), her grandchildren Robert McCullum, Heather McCullum, Stephanie McCullum (Jason Vaughan) and Michelle McCullum (Mike Reesor), her great grandchildren Lauren and Randy Watson, her brother Ralph (Janet) Purdy as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her loving husband Alvin “Mac” McCullum, daughter-in-law Beth McCullum, sisters Ada O’Neil and Ruby Halliday, brothers Bill and Doug Purdy and parents Roy and Florence Purdy.
A private family graveside service will be held in Verulam Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
