Nancy, please accept our families deepest condolences to you, your sisters and families. I am late writing this as we have been away on vacation and I only just learned of your loss. It has been many years since we contacted you but my Mom, Joan and brothers Geoff, Danny and myself have such fond memories of your dad when he lived in Port Hope across the street from us. Such a kind man. We are grieving for you at this very sad time. I know from experience that time does heal and eventually the memories you have of your dad will bring fond and happy thoughts. Take care and I will leave my phone number if you wish to catch up. I have thought of you often over the years and still bump into "Aunt Fern" from time to time. John, I will miss you so much. You were like a father to me and a grandpa to Alex. You were a very good and decent man and gave my Mom, Louise, many years of joy and peace after many turbulent years with my father. For that I am eternally thankful. My heart goes out to Janet, Gilbette and Nancy. I will be there for all of you, if needed. I loved John very much. Rest in peace.
