Obituary of Beverley Anne Oliver
Passed away peacefully in her sleep on August 11, 2014 at her home in Bobcaygeon, in her 69th year. She was born February 18, 1945. Beloved wife of Dennis Oliver who was her constant companion for 41 years. Stepmother to Shane. Dear sister of Irene Warren of Brockville. Survived by sisters-in-law Norma, Madeline and Darlene. Fondly remembered by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sisters Marg Mallen and Marie Countryman, brothers Lawrence, Arnold, Morris and Charlie Slack. Bev was retired from the Toronto District School Board and the Scarborough Board of Education after 27 years of dedicated service. Beloved friend to many comrades at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 239, Bobcaygeon. Bev was a loyal Member of the Legion and was Legionnaire of the year 2009. She will be remembered for her generosity, her compassion and for everything she did for her friends. Bev and Dennis enjoyed cooking meals for friends. Bev was always there to help a friend in need. She will be deeply missed. A Celebration of Bev’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 7, 2014 at the Royal Canadian Legion in Bobcaygeon for family and friends. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, her husband has requested memorial donations be made to the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 239, Bobcaygeon.
