Obituary of Effie Shewen

SHEWEN, Effie May (nee Kelly) Passed away at her home with her family by her side after a courageous battle with cancer on Thursday July 4, 2013. Effie Shewen of Woodview in her 94th year, wife of the late Earl Victor Shewen (d. 2005). Beloved mother of David (Sharon), Mary Anne (Glenn Brough), Joyce (Avis Arsenault), Brenda (Tony Meddings), Grant (Carol) and the late Shirley. Grandma will always be loved and remembered by her eleven grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren. Predeceased by her siblings John, Edith, Everett and Walter. A celebration of life will be held in THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, LAKEFIELD CHAPEL on Tuesday July 9, 2013 at 2:30 PM with visitation and reception to commence at 1:00 PM. Interment Lakefield Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Peterborough Regional Health Centre, Palliative Care Unit or the charity of one's choice.
