Some of my fondest memories growing up are that of being at the cottage. Jim you were family to me, a brother to my father and a second son to my grandmother. It saddens me to know that 1 person intentionally caused such hard feelings for the last few year. Years that both you and my dad probably needed each other more than ever. Your friendship of over 60 years, is one that can never be duplicated and one that truly never ends regardless of words spoken or time passed. You will be sadly missed, but I know you are in a wonderful place now and have found comfort and peace. Thank you for such fond childhood memories of the Grumpy Old Men! Love Always, Catherine

Dear family I am so sorry for your loss. Jim was special to all of us growing up on 10 acre island at the cottage. I will remember him always puttering around fixing and building things. I will miss him.
