Obituary of Thomas DeGeer
After a short illness, Tom DeGeer of Bobcaygeon, formerly of Coboconk and Toronto, passed away peacefully at Ross Memorial Hospital, Lindsay on Saturday, November 6, 2010 at the age of 80. Beloved husband of Melissa (née Hart). Father to Paige (Ed) Bastin, Richard (Anne) DeGeer, Jim (Ann) DeGeer, Jan (Roger) Small, Chris (Kim) Gooderham and Tylee (Jan) Gooderham. Grandfather of 12. Great-grandfather of 3. Brother of Jim (Gladys) DeGeer of Port Coquitlam, BC. A member of numerous professional organizations and has held office in many. Past president and life member of the Toronto Academy of Veterinary Medicine, past director of Ontario Veterinary Association and past chairman of the Board of Education of the Canadian V.M.A. Joined the Rotary Club of Toronto Eglinton in 1955. Past District Governor 7010 in 1988-89. Recipient of the Rotary Foundation Citation for Meritorious Service in 1992 and the Rotary Foundation Distinguished Service Award in 1994.
