Obituary of Ruth Crowe

Ruth Crowe lived out her full life of ninety-four years and passed peacefully on Wednesday, October 20, 2010. Ruth was born (February 14, 1916), raised and lived out her life in Bobcaygeon, loving and supporting her hometown and family above all else. Ruth was the loving wife of Glen Crowe (d.1966), the best mother ever to Glenna  (Chuck Burns) and Roger (Bernadette) and proud Nana to Erin Crowe (Jeremy Stuart), Andrea Crowe (Adrian Brown), Dustin Crowe (Shannon Lee). Thomas Burns (Corinne LeMercier), David Burns (Rachel Fry), Nina (Adam Paris), Tori and Paige Paris, Kevin (Kim) and Jeffrey (Claudia) Burns. Ruth was the fifth child of Elizabeth and Roland Thurston of Locust Hill Farm, Bobcaygeon. Ruth was predeceased by her siblings Oscar (Elsie) and Wallace (Lenora) Thurston, Maybelle Hodgins (Gordon), Grace Clark (Howard) and Olivia Morin (Roger). Ruth will be greatly missed by her sister-in-law Grace Cardiff (née Crowe) and her nieces and nephews, friends Mary Clarke, Pody Schneider and all her community of card players and lawn bowlers. Friends and family were received at Monk Funeral Home, 6 Helen Street, Bobcaygeon (705-738-3222 or 866-393-0063) on Saturday, October 23, 2010 from 10 a.m. until service time in the chapel at 11 a.m. Interment Verulam Cemetery.
