THACKERAY: Blair Suddenly at the Campbellford Memorial Hospital on Sunday July 10, 2011. Blair Thackeray of Norwood in his 80th year. Beloved husband for 57 years to Barbara of Norwood. Dearest Dad of Jane Hurst (John) of Oshawa, and Brad Thackeray of Kingston. Dear grandpa of Elizabeth, John Blair, Victoria Proulx (Clinton), Emily and Hannah. Loving brother of Golda Beedham (Charlie) of Cobourg, Valetta McVety of Oshawa, Mavis Bull of Cobourg and brother-in-law of Shirley Fallow of Oshawa. Survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Predeceased by his brothers Ivan (Betty), Allan (Ada), and brothers-in-law Jack McVety, Elmer Bull and George Fallow. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, NORWOOD CHAPEL on Thursday July 14, 2011 at 1:00 PM. Visitation one hour prior to the service. A reception will follow at the Norwood United Church. Memorial donations may be made to the Peterborough Humane Society or the charity of one's choice as expressions of sympathy.
