Obituary of Jean Sloan

SLOAN, Jean Passed away at Extendicare, Lakefield on Monday January 31, 2011. Jean (Bowen) of Peterborough, formerly of Lakefield in her 101st year. Wife of the late Everet G. Sloan. Beloved mother of Shirley Smith (Paul), Marion Knox (Herb), Jim (Melba) and Delmer (Ruth). Grandma will be dearly remembered by her 13 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren. Also remembered by her many nieces and many nephews. Predeceased by her parents Etta and Charles Bowen and siblings Gordon, Laura, Alex, Rodger and Helen. Friends and relatives may call at THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, LAKEFIELD CHAPEL on Wednesday February 2, 2011 from 2-4 PM. A funeral service will be held at the Edmison Heights Baptist Church, 160 Marina Blvd. Peterborough, on Thursday February 3, 2011 at 2:00 PM with visitation to commence one-hour prior to the service. A reception will follow in the Church Hall. Family interment will take place at the Lakefield Cemetery.
