Obituary of Art Johnson

JOHNSON: Art Passed away peacefully at the P.R.H.C. after a courageous battle with a lengthy illness on Wednesday August 12, 2009. Art Johnson of Stoney Lake in his 77th year. Art was the owner/operator of Bayview Marina, Stoney Lake for 46 years and the former owner of Art Johnson Haulage of Waterdown, Ont. Loved and missed by his wife of 56 years, Evelyn. Dad is remembered by Dennis (Lynn), Terry, Jim (Pauline), Brian (Cathy), Mark, Michelle Parkinson (Lee) and Ron (Simona). Grandpa and Poppa is missed by 15 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Also remembered by his brother George Henwood. Predeceased by his sister Marjorie Walker, son Wayne and granddaughter Holly. Friends and relatives may call at THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, LAKEFIELD CHAPEL on Sunday August 16, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A funeral service will be held at the Selwyn Outreach Centre on Monday August 17, 2009 at 1:00 PM. Interment Lakefield Cemetery. A reception will follow in the Heritage Room of the funeral home.
