To Bev and family at this very sad time. All Is Well Death is nothing at all, I have only slipped into the next room I am I and you are you Whatever we were to each other, that we are still. Call me by my old familiar name, Speak to me in the easy way which you always used Put no difference in your tone, Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes we enjoyed together. Play, smile, think of me, pray for me. Let my name be ever the household world that it always was, Let it be spoken without effect, without the trace of shadow on it. Life means all that it ever meant. It it the same as it ever was, there is unbroken continuity. Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight? I am waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very near, Just around the corner. All is well. By Henry Scott Holland (1847-1918) Canon of St Paul's Cathedral Thinking and praying for you across the miles Audrey, Jean and family x Ross-Shire, Scotland

Brother Johnny, Theta, Ella, Bev, Darrell, Janine, Stuart, Dayna and Joel...please know that with these words there are plenty of hugs and kisses to go along with them! Tom touched everyone he met...not just with his infectious smile but with his genuine sense of concern and caring. He listened more then he spoke because he wanted to...and when he spoke, every word was worth listening to because it came from his heart. I am blessed for knowing him. Let his spirit surround you all...he will always be watching over you. Love Always, Tim and Jenne

Tom, as my Big Brother, I thank you for all the help you gave us:--Showing me how to ski on the hills at Don Head Farm. --Helping Mom and Dad to make a beautiful Garden in front of our house at Don Head. -- Teaching me how to ride ââ?¬Å?our blue bikeââ?¬Â, which you also cycled all the way from Don Head to school in Richmond Hill. --and I remember too that you delivered groceries with that bike.--- And then, after you joined the Police Force, you helped our family move to Toronto. I remember too you being my ââ?¬Å?best manââ?¬Â at our wedding in Winchester in 1959. I am not sure whether you also helped Donald and Ed throw confetti on us after the wedding. And Tom, I also remember all your trips to visit us where I lived and workedââ?¬â?the ââ?¬Å?Fish Labââ?¬Â in Algonquin Park, Fort Camp residence at UBC, Picton Ont, St. Paul Minnesota, Winnipeg, Ottawa and Perth. One of my best memories is your and Bev's wedding day. And, I remember our trip to Scotland in October 1993. You drove on the left side of the road without a single accident. (I am sure that the Scottish Constabulary would have arrested me if I had tried to drive.) We met with our Scottish relatives and even visited the house/store at Ussie Valley near Beauly where you were born. Thank you Tom for all you have done for usââ?¬â?including teaching me how to arm wrestleââ?¬â?although you always were able to bend my arm down to the table. I also remember and respect your excellent work on the Toronto Police Force. I salute you ââ?¬Å?Inspector Tom MacLeod #144ââ?¬Â. --------from your brother Cameron

Words cannot express our sympathy for all of you at this time of sadness. A great friend, husband, father, father-in-law and grandfather. He was a gentle giant with a powerful but quiet strength. Safe journey Tom, you will be missed. Gone From My Sight I am standing upon the seashore. A ship at my side spreads his white sails to the morning breeze and starts for the blue ocean. He is an object of beauty and strength. I stand and watch him until at length he hangs like a speck of white cloud just where the sea and sky come to mingle with each other. Then, someone at my side says; There, he is gone! Gone where? Gone from my sight. That is all. He is just as large in mast and hull and spar as he was when he left my side and he is just as able to bear his load of living freight to his destined port. His diminished size is in me, not in him. And just at the moment when someone at my side says, There, he is gone! There are other eyes watching him coming, and other voices ready to take up the glad shout; Here he comes! Here he comes! And that is dying.
