Obituary of Thomas Chappell

CHAPPELL, Thomas Allan 'Tom' -Retired Peterborough Ready Mix Driver of 45 years- Passed away with dignity after a short battle with cancer at the P.R.H.C., Palliative Care on Tuesday, March 24, 2009. Tom Chappell of R.R. 1 Norwood in his 72nd year. Beloved husband of 39 years to Meralyn (Matthews). Dear father of Tom Jr. of Norwood, Susan Roddy (Stephen) of Hastings, Gary (Melanie) and Brian all of Norwood. Grandpa will be missed by Jaycee (Derek), Darrin and Jennifer Chappell, Jordan, Christopher and Logan Roddy and Blake, Evan and Isaac Chappell and by great granddaughter Peytin. Always remembered by sisters Audrey Greenley (Dave), Ruth McMillan (Bryan) and Nancy Harrison (Laverne) and by brothers Les Chappell (Bev) and Stan Chappell (Darlene). Also missed by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents Florence and Thomas Chappell and by brothers Redge and Douglas. Relatives and friends may call at THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, NORWOOD CHAPEL on Friday, March 27, 2009 from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 P.M. A funeral service will be held at the Norwood Pentecostal Church on Saturday, March 28, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. with visitation to commence one hour prior to the service.
