Obituary of James Bestard

BESTARD: James Maxwell ""Jim"" Passed away peacefully at Extendicare, Lakefield on Tuesday March 24, 2009. Jim Bestard of Lakefield in his 87th year. Jim was a 43 year employee of General Electric, Peterborough and a veteran of World War II. Dear husband of the late Lila (nee Carson) (1989). Sadly missed by his children Bill (Diane), Ron (Karen), both of Peterborough, Carole Gleeson (Frank) of Unionville and Bob (Darlene) of Ennismore. Also missed by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Remembered by his sister Betty Hatcher and sister-in-law June Bestard, both of Peterborough. Predeceased by his parents Harold & Hazel and brother Jack ""Tom"" Bestard. A funeral service will be held at THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, LAKEFIELD CHAPEL, on Friday March 27, 2009 at 12:00 PM. Visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment Lakefield Cemetery. A reception will follow in the Heritage Room of the funeral home.
