Obituary of Wilma Williamson

WILLIAMSON: Wilma Evelyn (nee Grant) November 9, 1925 - February 28, 2009 Passed away peacefully at Extendicare, Lakefield on Saturday February 28, 2009 at the age of 83 years. Born in Dunnville, ON., Wilma was the only child of the late Anne and George Grant. Mom will long be remembered and admired for her creative and meticulous abilities as a seamstress, an avid gardener and her colourful cuisine. A passion for music and dancing, even in her later years Mom remembered all the words to the old favourites and was often spotted tapping her toes or clapping her hands to their beat. Mom married the love of her life, Denis Williamson in 1947 after which they shared a lifetime of loving memories and further adventures with the RCAF. In particular, their posting in Germany with its many European adventures was one of the happiest times in their marriage. Wilma is survived by and will be sadly missed by her sweetheart Denis Williamson of Extendicare, Lakefield, her 2 loving daughters Pamela Faunt of Creston, B.C., Penny Williamson of Jasper, Alberta, 2 grandchildren Deny Faunt of Calgary and Saara (Alistair) Bain and great granddaughter Dylan Bain of Grande Prairie, Alberta. ""Wilma, dance like nobody is watching"" Cremation has taken place. A private family interment will follow at a later date in Ottawa.
