Obituary of Erwin Payne

PAYNE, Erwin 'Bergen' Passed away unexpectedly surrounded by his family at Campbellford Memorial Hospital on Saturday, February 7, 2009. Bergen Payne of Norwood in his 82nd year. Beloved husband of Marjorie (McComb). Loving Dad of Darryl (JoAnn Fournier) and Lori Elmhurst (Patrick Moore) all of Norwood. Proud grandpa of Jamie Coad and Colin and Carly Elmhurst. Always remembered by sister Dorothy Fife (late Arnold), sisters-in-law Bernice Stewart (Don), Muriel Patrick (late Jack), Nancy VanLuven (Jim), Bev McComb (late Jim) and Doreen McComb (late Eric). Bergen will be missed by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Rosella and Arthur Payne, brothers Gerald, Bill and Stanley, sisters Edna, Dora and Barbara, sister-in-law Madeline McComb and by many of his family that have passed before. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, NORWOOD CHAPEL on Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. with visitation from 12:00 noon until time of the service. A reception will follow at the R.C.L. Br. #300. Interment of urn will take place at a later date.
