Obituary of Shirley Tomlinson

Shirley Tomlinson (née Booth) passed away peacefully at Ross Memorial Hospital, Lindsay on Sunday, March 21, 2010. Predeceased by her husband of 56 years, William “Bill” Francis Tomlinson, her parents Herbert and Victoria Booth and sister Doreen Williams. Born into the Muir family and predeceased as a child by her immediate family consisting of birth mother, birth father and sister. Loving mother of Jim and Jeff. A resident of Scarborough for 37 years and Victoria Place, Bobcaygeon since 1988. Founding member of St. George’s Anglican Church, Scarborough and member of Christ Church Anglican, Bobcaygeon; Scarborough Board of Education Trustee from 1973-1983; subsequently appointed to the Social Assistance Review Board of Ontario and the National Parole Board. The family appreciated the exceptional care given to our mother by the medical staff of the Palliative Care Unit at Ross Memorial Hospital. Friends will be received at Christ Church Anglican, 43 Sherwood Street, Bobcaygeon www.christchurchbobcaygeon.com on Saturday, May 15, 2010 from 1 p.m. until service time at 2 p.m. Private interment St. John’s Norway Anglican Church, Toronto.
