Dear Bishop family, We are so sorry for your loss. We were shocked and saddened to hear of the loss of such a godly, faithful man. We really, really respected your husband. My husband, in his role as clergy, had opportunity to interact with Peter many times. In my own role as an editor I also had the privilige of working with Peter when he did something for us at Incourage and more recently talking about a welcoming church article for your newsletter. He was always warm, accomodating, helpful and encouraging. We know he is in the presence of his Saviour and we give thanks to God for that, even as we think of your pain. If there is anything we can do in the days and months ahead please don't hesitate to call. Karen and Brent Stiller Port Perry

To Sheila and family, I was very shocked to learn of Peter's passing. Although his life on earth was short he was full of giving and well liked by all whose lives he touched. He will be missed, with time your acute pain will give way to fond memories of your 33 years with Peter. Take care of yourself and God bless. -Carole (Shulver)

AHKOOLOW, the word used here to express love. This is the feeling that has been expressed this evening to me as I spoke with some of the parishioners here in Pangnirtung, Nunavut, concerning the death of Revd Peter Bishop, their past teacher and pastor. Lots of people here are remembering you all with much fondness, all your faithful service and they send their love to you during this extremely difficult time. Lots of love, Parishioners of St Luke's Anglican Church Pangnirtung,

Dear Sheila and family, I join you in your sense of loss. I best knew Peter when he was Executive Archdeacon of the Diocese of the Arctic and I was Executive Assistant to the Bishop of Montreal. The Diocese of Montreal had some money available for Outreach through the Cathedral Development Funds so Peter and I corresponded regularly negotiating grants for the Council of the North. He was a Godly man who added value to the lives of those, like me, who worked with him. He was a kindred spirit. You are all in my prayers and will continue to be in the days and months ahead. Lovingly in Christ. Phil & Cheryl Bristow St. Philip's on-the-hill Unionville, Ontario

Sheila, Jenny and Steven, I was so saddened to heard of Peter's accident. Know my thoughts are with you all. I remember a conversation I had with Peter while we were in Pang. We were questioning some of the mysteries of God's word and Peter couldn't answer one of my questions. He smiled gently and said, That is on my list of questions to ask my Lord one day. I can imagine Peter sitting at his Lord's feet now having all of his questions answered. Peter was a man who did a great deal of good during his life. He will be sadly missed.
