Dear Mrs. Wallace, I was surfing the internet and happened upon Mr. Wallace's obituary. He was a kind man and wonderful teacher who inspired me to become an English teacher. I remember babysitting for the girls and enjoying your beautiful home and garden. In my own years of teaching, I hope I have touched lives the way Mr. Wallace touched mine. I still have the vase you gave us for our wedding (27 years ago) and the pine chest Mr. Wallace made that my parents bought for my birthday. They bring back fond memories of your family and my happy times in Lakefield. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I too had Mr. Wallace as an English teacher while attending LDSS in the 90's. He was an excellent teacher :) I also went to school with his daughter Margaret. I'm so sorry to hear of the loss of your dad/husband. My thoughts are with you.

Reading the paper today, I was saddened to see Mr. Wallace's name in the obituaries. He was my english teacher about 27 years ago and I never forgot him. Every day he came to school with a smile on his face and his joy for life radiated from him. He made english class most enjoyable. His passion for anything written and life in general was evident. Although you do not know me, I just wanted to tell you that Mr. Wallace was a great person and touched many of his students. My thoughts are with you all.
