Obituary of Muriland Oliver KNOTT

KNOTT: Muriland Oliver Passed away surrounded by his family at the Toronto General Hospital on Thursday July 13, 2006. Muriland Knott of Curve Lake in his 82nd year. Muriland was a proud veteran, having served overseas in Italy, France, Germany and Holland as a member of the Royal Canadian Regiment. An avid outdoors man, Muriland enjoyed fishing, hunting and trapping. Sadly missed by his wife of 60 years Ila (McCue) and his children Stanley, Gwen Porter (Dwight), Karen Crawford (Richard), Nancy Cowan (Perry), Hannah Shaughnessy (Tim), Darrel (Trish), Eric and Marla. Also missed by his brother Donald and sisters Alma Stinson and Evelyn Carlson. Muriland was grandfather to Derick, Christa, Karen, Chantell, Jason, Justin, Scott, Cindy, Casey, Pattie, T.J., Tyler, Naiomi, Skye, Melissa, Mike and Morgan. Great Grandfather of Samantha, Derris, Erica, Jacob, Michael, Hannah, Evan, Lindsay, Jason, Delaney, Drew, Brett, Ben, Ryan, Clayton, Emily, Kamryn. Remembered by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Maggie and Allan, brother Ronald, sisters Mary & Ethel and grandson Marty Porter. Friends and relatives may call at the HENDREN FUNERAL HOME, Lakefield on Monday July 17, 2006 from 7-9 PM. A Celebration of Muriland's life will be held on Tuesday July 18, 2006 at 11:00 AM at 9 Winookeda St., Curve Lake. Cremation. A reception will follow the service.
